"A fantastic blend of Tool, Faith No More, and Sepultura...this is top notch"
- Metal Hammer
DIED SMILING are based in Devon and have been together for just over a year, having first met and started writing music at school. Brought up on a diet of bands like Faith No More, Pantera and Sepultura, as well as various obsessions with film scores, punk and classic metal, they have distilled their influences into their own unique sound – melodic and intelligent, yet bursting with energy and power.
The last few months have seen DIED SMILING getting great reviews in the national and regional music press, as well as very enthusiastic live reaction. The video for ‘Time’ has been played on the Scuzz channel’s New Skids On The Block show, and submitted to MTV2 and Kerrang TV. Recent gigs have included the Virtual Festival in Islington (with 209 and The Lancaster Bombers), and the main stage at Castle Rock, Cornwall’s annual 2-day summer music festival in the grounds of Launceston Castle (with Reuben and Fleeing New York). The band's demo caught the attention of Casket Music who have recently signed a deal to distribute their amazing debut album Evolution Of The Fist.
"A truly awesome band who combine sheer brutality with melody"
