| Maelstrom are a five-piece metal band from Glasgow. Formed in 2006, the band quickly established themselves as serious performer on the Glasgow metal circuit. Their debut album, entitled "The Shores At Dawn", was written in 2008. The record was completly self-financed, recorded and released independently. Later that year, the band signed a deal with UK-based label and distributer Casket Music and the record was released worlwide. Soon after, Maelstrom was named No.2 Unsigned Band in Terrorizer's 2008 Annual Reader's Poll. |
