Hailing from Pontypridd, S.K.W.A.D. are a rock band with clear punk overtones, however their songs show a wide range of influences and styles. S.K.W.A.D. was formed in April 2004 from the remains of what was PsychoSquad, the cult favorites whose plaudits included an appearance at the Reading Festival.
S.K.W.A.D. consists of brothers Todd (vocals and guitar) and Dane Campbell (drums), as well as Michael Cocks (bass). Taking influences from the full spectrum of rock and punk including Life Of Agony, Type-O Negative, The Misfits, Kiss and even Ben Folds, Blink 182 and Frank Zappa, it renders the band almost impossible to categorise in terms of genre, and have toured with the likes of Anthrax, The Damned, Motorhead, Backyard Babies, and more recently Mondo Generator and Fozzy.
‘TheDeadStillDance’ is their debut full length album and is released through Casket (I-DEF-I, Panic Cell, Forever Never etc) in June 2006, with production coming from Jeff and Ginge (Ex-Skindred), and bonus tracks produced by Greg Havers (Manic Street Preachers). They have also had the track ‘Born.Lie.Fight.Die’ featured on EA Games Rugby 2006.
