Seizure were formed in December ’95, created from parts of two well known southern outfits. Encompassing all that is needed in today’s hard music climate, and with hundreds of shows experience, from four years of constant touring under the belts of the collective members, one thing you won’t get is half-arsed songs, or lacklustre performances.
In these times, when we are constantly saturated with two-a-penny amateurish Metal- Crossover bands, it is a refreshing change to find a band that crushes your skull…… and means it! A totally rhythmic and aggressive experience. Without doubt, the real thing! Not only are the songs written with aggression and an in your face, to the point attitude, what really makes them tick is that they never lose track of that ever important ingredient......catchiness.
In May ’97, the band took to the road, supporting Black Mark Artist SOULQUAKE SYSTEM, who were making their first visit to the UK. The Swedish outfit were so impressed by their touring partners musical prowess, and unmatchable power, that they put forward Seizure’s name to support the FACE DOWN UK Tour, in March ’98, which also featured SQS. The tour took in several thousand miles, playing up and down the country. The reaction and the feedback to the tour was overwhelming.
The band then released their debut full length album back in May ’98, on the Copro Records label, distribution through PHD (cat.no. COP03), Produced by Pete Brown, whose former credits include Einsturzende, Neubaten, Rock Goddess, Lords of the New Church, and Desecration (also on the Copro label). They then embarked on a another full UK tour, this time co- headlining with label mates SNUB in throughout August ’98.
The band are unfortunatly no more, But a few copies of their debut album "Life In Freefall" can still be ordered through Copro Direct. |
